Safety & Compliance
Updated September 25, 2026
Preparing for launch. These are the requirements for Halen’s planned rideshare and package-delivery services. Service availability will be announced by market after required approvals and operating arrangements are in place.
1. Driver eligibility
Before providing services, drivers must be approved by Halen, be at least 25 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, complete required background and driving-record screening with appropriate authorization, and satisfy the rules and insurance requirements for their market. Drivers must keep their information current and use only their own approved account. Approval on another platform does not replace Halen’s requirements.
2. Approved vehicles
Drivers must use an approved vehicle with valid registration, required inspections and applicable insurance. Vehicles must meet Halen’s eligibility standards and local requirements, have working seatbelts, and be maintained in a safe, clean condition. Drivers must report material damage or defects and must not provide services in an unsafe vehicle.
3. Safety and respectful conduct
Impaired driving, dangerous driving, violence, threats, sexual misconduct, harassment, discrimination, fraud and account sharing are prohibited. Drivers must not operate while impaired by alcohol, drugs or medication, or when too fatigued to drive safely. Riders and drivers must use seatbelts, observe vehicle capacity and follow applicable child-restraint requirements. Do not enter a vehicle if the driver or vehicle does not match the assignment details.
4. Accessibility and equal treatment
Drivers must provide service without unlawful discrimination. Service animals must be accepted without an extra charge, and riders are not required to provide service-animal certification. Drivers must accommodate folding mobility aids when safely possible and allow reasonable disability-related boarding time. Contact Halen about an accommodation, an accessibility barrier or an inappropriate waiting charge. Wheelchair-accessible options and authorized-provider referrals will be identified for each market before service opens; this page does not promise immediate WAV availability.
5. Insurance and operating permissions
Halen’s launch requirements include the operating permissions and insurance applicable to each enabled service and location. Drivers must maintain required personal coverage and receive applicable commercial coverage disclosures before activation. Coverage depends on the policy, activity, operating period, territory, limits and exclusions. Personal auto coverage may exclude rideshare or delivery work. Drivers should notify their insurer and, where applicable, their lender or lessor. This page is not an insurance policy or a guarantee that every loss is covered.
6. Package delivery rules
Package delivery will be available only where separately authorized and enabled. Senders must accurately describe contents, provide recipient details, declare value when requested and package items securely. Illegal goods, weapons and ammunition, cash, hazardous materials, controlled substances, medical specimens and live animals are not accepted under the planned launch scope. Alcohol, tobacco, cannabis and temperature-critical goods are also excluded. Published size, weight and value limits must be met. Do not send an item if its eligibility is uncertain; ask Halen first.
7. Clear charges and account protection
Applicable fares, booking fees and other charges must be disclosed before confirmation, with any permitted adjustments explained. Drivers must not request off-platform payment for a Halen booking. Keep your account credentials private, use accurate information and report suspected account misuse. Our Privacy Policy explains personal information practices and how to contact Halen about privacy questions.
8. Reporting a concern
For non-emergency safety, accessibility, driver-conduct or delivery concerns, email support@halentech.com. Include the trip or order reference if available, the date and time, a description of what happened and a safe way to reach you. Do not email passwords, payment-card details, Social Security numbers or full identity documents. Email is not an emergency channel and is not represented as continuously monitored.
9. Review and account action
Halen’s procedures call for reviewing safety and policy reports, preserving relevant evidence and restricting accounts when necessary to address safety or eligibility concerns. A reasonable report of driver impairment requires suspension pending investigation under applicable rules. People affected by an account decision may contact support to request review. A review does not permit operation while required eligibility is missing. Information may be shared where necessary and legally permitted for safety, claims or regulatory purposes.
10. Availability and local requirements
Services will open market by market after required approvals, coverage and operating controls are in place. Airport, station, event-site and interstate access may be restricted even within a broader service area. Drivers must follow approved pickup locations, posted traffic restrictions and the service boundaries shown for their market. A future service description or app download does not establish that a service is available.
